About the Seminar: Part A: Latest Development of Qianhai (前海) and Opportunities in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area (粵港澳大灣區) by Dr Witman HUNG On behalf of Shenzhen Qianhai Authority, Dr HUNG will talk on the latest development of Qianhai including the preferential initiatives for HK enterprises. Besides, since the Bay Area development plan became a hot topic after it was stated in the State Council’s work report early this year, Dr HUNG will share his view on how the cooperation between Hong Kong and Shenzhen would benefit the development of the city cluster.

About the Speakers: Dr Witman HUNG, JP, Principal Liaison Officer for Hong Kong, Shenzhen Qianhai Authority Dr Witman HUNG is currently the Principal Liaison Officer for Hong Kong, Shenzhen Qianhai Authority. A seasoned ICT professional and angel investor, Witman has worked in the industry for 30 years. He is the President of the Internet Professional Association in Hong Kong, Executive Chairman of Chinese Big Data Society and Vice Chairman of the Monte Jade Science and Technology Association of HK. Witman served as a Part-time Member of the Central Policy Unit of the HKSAR Government during 2012-2014, and is currently an Academic Committee member of Pangoal Institution and China Silk Road iValley Research Institute, Standing Committee Member of the Center for China and Globalization and Adjunct Professor of Jinan University. In 2008, Witman was selected as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons of Hong Kong. In 2015, he was appointed as a Justice of the Peace by the Hong Kong SAR Government. In 2016, he was given the Asia Social Innovation Leadership Award by CMO Asia.
Mr Caesar WONG, Managing Director, China Business Services, RSM Hong Kong Mr Caesar WONG is Managing Director of China Business Services of RSM Hong Kong, and specialized in China and international tax and business advisory services. Caesar was with Andersen, PwC, EY and Deloitte for more than 24 years, and was seconded to Shanghai in 1994, and relocated to Guangzhou to witness the development of China’s free trade zones. Mr WONG supports government’s policy studies and drafting, and helps in trainings, assessments and consultation activities. Caesar is a professional accounting and tax advisor. He is Vice President and Chairman of China Tax Committee of The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong, the first China tax member of ACCA’s Global Forum for Taxation, and Hong Kong Committee Member of Taxation Academic Research Committee of The Chinese Tax Institute affiliated by The State Administration of Taxation.
