About the Seminar:

In order to connect business success with social progress, it is important to create economic value through addressing the social needs and challenges by focus on engaging your stakeholders like customers, suppliers, workforce and the community; to set up appropriate sustainability governance in the organization; to align the business and social objectives and periodically evaluate various Key Performance Indicators and generate Corporate-Social initiatives and continuous improvement plan and so forth. In all, the purpose of which is to create value and drive the organization attaining a more powerful force to address various day-to-day pressing issues relating to business development, operational efficiencies, innovation and productivity growth, etc. This seminar addresses all these issues and covers the following topics:-

About the Speakers:

Speaker for Topic (A)

Dr William Yu, CEO of World Green Organisation

Dr Yu is an energy economist and climate professional by training and completed his PhD at the University of Cambridge as well as earned an Executive MBA degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in the U.S. Additionally, Dr Yu has gained valuable regional management experience by working at US multinationals. He is currently the Adjunct Professor of several universities in Hong Kong and Mainland China. Dr Yu has extensive experience in leading both public and business engagement programmes. He is also an ESG Advisor of Crowe Horwath (HK) Consulting & Valuation Limited.

Speaker for Topic (B)

Dr Jacky Tang, Executive Director of a global investment bank

Dr Tang obtained his PhD in Economics at Shanghai University of Finance & Economics and his Master’s Degree in Sustainability Leadership at the University of Cambridge. He has more than 15 years of experience in investment management and research and serves as Senior Advisor / Consultant of several major non-profit making organisations in Hong Kong. His research interest is sustainable finance, behavioral economics and asset allocation.

Ms Stella Law, Director of Crowe Horwath (HK) Consulting & Valuation Limited

Stella specializes in valuation of business and intangible assets with over 10 years’ experience in the industry. She provides valuation services for wide range of purposes. Stella holds an undergraduate degree in software engineering from the University of Hong Kong and a master degree in financial analysis with concentration on corporate finance and security analysis from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She is also an Accredited Senior Appraiser of the American Society of Appraisers, Member of Royal Institute Chartered Surveyors and Registered Business Valuers of the Hong Kong Business Valuation Forum.


CPD Hours:

Completed CPD hours will be granted to attendees who have attended a full session of seminar. For those who have not attended full session, the number of CPD hours will be discounted accordingly. For the exact recognition of the CPD hours, please check with the respective Institute or Association.
