About the Seminar:

The use of financial instruments is increasingly popular among companies. There are many kinds of financial instruments, including share options, convertible bonds, forward contracts, etc. Different kinds of financial instruments have different applications. For example, some companies may grant share options to their employees as an incentive for better performance. Meanwhile some companies may issue convertible bonds for financing. The value of the financial instrument is dependent on the nature of the financial instrument. It is therefore important for accounting professionals to have a better understanding on the nature of financial instruments, their valuation models, the sense of model input parameters and their impact on the company’s financial position. Topic outline includes:

About the Speaker:

Mr Kenneth Lam is leading the business and transaction valuation team. He has worked in the accounting and corporate transaction sector of various listed companies handling internal control, due diligence, financial accounting and project analyses decisions. Mr Lam also took part as the management of an international appraisal firm both was coordinating and participating in numerous valuations for financial reporting, M&A, restructuring and IPO projects, accumulating extensive valuation experience on private and listed companies of various industries in the Asia-Pacific and America region.

Mr Lam is now the Associate Director engaged in the Corporate Valuation and Advisory Division.

Mr Lam was invited by various professional associations or companies as the speaker of continuing professional development program for sharing his experience on business valuation case with the members related.

CPD Hours:

Completed CPD hours will be granted to attendees who have attended a full session of seminar. For those who have not attended full session, the number of CPD hours will be discounted accordingly. For the exact recognition of the CPD hours, please check with the respective Institute or Association.
