Strategies for the Prevention of Musculoskeletal Disorder for Accountants

About the seminar:

This talk aims at alerting the accountants on the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders of back,neck and upper limbs arising from prolonged repetitive movements or incorrect sitting postures. Preventive measures will be discussed and muscle stretching exercises will also be demonstrated and practiced.

About the speaker:

Miss Jenny Chan qualified as a Registered Physiotherapist in Hong Kong. She received her education at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where she obtained the degrees of BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and MSc in Manipulative Physiotherapy. Jenny also holds a Diploma in Acupuncture for Physiotherapists (HKPA), and has been qualified as Clinical Pilates Instructor (DMA, Aust) and Advanced Personal Trainer (AASFP, HK).

Jenny currently runs her private practice in Central providing treatment for patients with neck and back pain problems arising from office work. Apart from this, Jenny has been the Official Physiotherapist of Hong Kong Ballet and its associated ballet companies since 2007. She has also served as official physiotherapist for international athletes in a number of sports games held in Hong Kong.

Jenny has been very active in raising public awareness towards neck and back pain problems arising from work and also sports injuries. She has been interviewed by various media including newspapers and radios. In a recent interview in “Give Me 5” at RTHK (Radio 3), Jenny explained how Specific Office Stretching Exercises can prevent neck and back pain, Sports and Dance rehabilitation exercises and treatment for office workers etc.


Enrolment:

1) Those interested are requested to register on-line by filling in the attached enrolment form. Acceptance will be on a first-come-first-served basis.

2) Successful enrolments will be confirmed by email. Unsuccessful applicants will be automatically placed on waiting list; they will be called up in the order of time of receipt of registration when vacancies arise.

3) Applicants may check their registration status using the same membership number of their professional affiliation when they register.

Seat Accommodation:

Please note that seats accommodation for accepted participants will be reserved until 15 minutes after the seminar starts. Seats may not be available for participants who are late for over 15 minutes.

CPD Hours:

For those participants who have not attended the full session, the number of CPD hours will be discounted according to the actual time of attendance. Completed CPD hours will be granted to attendees who have attended the full session. For the exact recognition of the CPD hours, please check with the respective Institute or Association.
