About the seminar:

The rising importance of corporate governance and the focus and attention on risk management and internal controls have resulted in a lot of efforts being put in by various departments and functions (particularly those primarily responsible for assurance and control services within the organization i.e. internal audit, risk management, compliance and operational risk management etc.) to strengthen and improve in those areas. However, in most cases, these functions are working on their own without alignment of objectives and working with different approach and methodology in relation to risk identification, assessment and response. Accordingly, assurance services are not effective and very often user departments and operation units found themselves facing confusion as they need to deal with what seems to be diverging views and recommendations from different assurance services functions. The speaker will introduce an integrated approach to Governance, Risk and Compliance management based on the COSO ERM Framework and explain how the ERM framework can be effectively implemented by organizations
